PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Description

100% Castor Oil is a naturally derived vegetable oil obtained from the seeds of Ricinus communis. It is supplied as a clear, viscous liquid ranging from nearly colorless to light yellow and consists primarily of triglycerides rich in ricinoleic acid. The material has distinctive polarity and solvency characteristics compared with many conventional vegetable oils. It is soluble in alcohol under suitable conditions, has limited compatibility with hydrocarbon solvents, and is practically insoluble in water. Castor Oil is widely used as a functional raw material across cosmetic, personal-care, hair-care, detergent, lubricant, coating, ink, polymer, and specialty industrial applications. Depending on the formulation and required grade, it can provide emollient, conditioning, carrier, lubricating, release, and processing functionality. The referenced quality profile includes appearance, relative density, refractive index, saponification value, iodine value, and freezing-point characteristics. Final suitability should be evaluated according to the intended application, required product grade, supplier-specific technical documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
